I have been coveting this bedroom since I saw the beautiful photos last week.
It was designed for a lucky young client by Matthew Mead. You can see all the lovely photos here.
Matthew has layered the bed in beautiful textiles, including some stunning pillows from John Robshaw.
I haven't really spent much time on our bedroom decor yet. My priority has been the main floor. But when I saw these pictures it reminded me how important it is to have a comfortable place to lay your head. So I decided to put together a little mood board for our bedroom.
From Top to Bottom: Carved Headboard - West Elm, Pillows - John Robshaw, Brass Swing Lamp - One Forty Three, Mirror - Anthropologie, Louis Bench - Restoration Hardware, Pillows - John Robshaw
In my dreams, I would have a rotating selection of bedding and pillows to choose from, but wouldn't we all? It's so hard to choose. There are soo many gorgeous patterns and colours!
The headboard would look great with the existing simple bed frame we purchased from West Elm. I just bought a new white quilt from Homesense. It is embroidered with a simple Indian teardrop motif. I really like white bedding. You know, there's nothing like crisp white sheets. However, I'd love add a layer of this to the bed...a Khadi in Jade from John Robshaw.
Ah well, it's all quite lovely but will have to remain in my dreams for now...
Bonne nuit.
Debra
