Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd share some bits and pieces of green from around my house.

I don't decorate for this holiday but I do try to pull out a few green pieces to honor the day and welcome spring.

my enormous spool of bakers twine

A pillow I made just last week at The Workroom - a lovely sewing space that offers classes and gorgeous fabrics. It was so much fun! You can read more about The Workroom in a story I wrote for Oh My Handmade just a few weeks ago here..

a vintage gravy boat ..

my green dining room walls..

a vintage teacup..

a jar that I found at a thrift shop

some fat quarters waiting to be turned into something new..

"peas in a pod" created by my daughter out of Fimo.
did I tell you she wants to open an Etsy shop of her own
to sell her clay creations?

my husband makes my latte in these vintage cups and saucers..

The Irish celebrations will continue this weekend when we go to a party to celebrate my great aunt's 90th birthday! I'm trying to convince my daughter to do a little jig or reel for her in honor of her Irish heritage but I think she will have to settle
for a bottle of Bailey's :)
