DIY Cloche

One of the trends I've noticed popping up everywhere
is the cloche.

Originally developed by the French, these bell shaped glass jars or domes were used to protect plants and early seedlings from harsh elements. Today, they are used for practical purposes but more often you see them displayed for their beauty.

Although I have a few cloche, I'm always looking for new takes on these simple objects. So when I came across this old clock last week I thought it would be fun to repurpose it into a cloche.

On that same trip, I also found the tiny brass curio cabinet
and beautiful antique book.

So it's a very simple DIY. The most difficult part is finding the clock which you usually see kicking around thrift shops.
I got mine for $1.50!

Here's how to make your own.

Step 1: Buy your clock.
Step 2: Unscrew the clock parts/hardware.
Step 3: Clean it up.
Step 4: Fill and display!

Easy peasy :)

Enjoy!
